Zoya

A quick post from me today but I coudn’t resist sharing this gorgeous Zoya blouse, by local Melbourne brand Khòlò.

Since featuring more style posts on Lilt Blog, my whole ethos and goal is to have fun with fashion and experiment more.

Athough you’ll usually find me very comfortably wearing dresses most of the time. I’m trying to wear more separates, (tops, shirts, pants and skirts) that can be easily mixed and matched in numerous ways.

Pollination

I picked up this bold and cheerful Obus dress last year and have been loving wearing it over the summer.

The gathered smock dress is such a comfortable and relaxed fit and I love the keyhole feature at the back which is done up with the sash tie. Such a unique and nice detail!

Artist Profile – Angus Martin

Sydney based artist Angus Martin had been working as a hairdresser in Adelaide for over 5 years when he realised that not everyone was willing to invest in a fun and creative hairstyles. The lack of experimentation led the contemporary artist to pivot his career and complete an Advanced Diploma of Advertising and Graphic Design, which helped him explore all basic fundamentals of design including colour theory, life drawing, sketching and painting.

Fiesta Gypsy

Today is my first day back at work for 2020 and I’m ready for a big year ahead full of blogging and creativity.

The end of last year brought along some great collaborations with iconic Australian designers, and one of my favourite projects was definitely shooting Megan Park’s beautiful pieces.

Prosperity

I’ve said it before, & I’ll say it again. I’m quite obsessed with pink. I can’t get enough of it….In all shades!

That is exactly what caught my eye when I first saw this original Obus Prosperity Dress in store.

What I really love though, is seeing how designers pair punchy pinks with other colours. It can make such a difference to the ‘mood’ of a print.

Arabella

Happy New year friends!

I hope you are having an amazing start to 2020.

Today is my first day back working on Lilt Blog for the year and I’m swinging in wearing one of my fave buys from last year.

Yellow Bells

It’s going to reach 39 degrees today and 41 later this week… that means its time to seriously bring out all the summer dresses!

Today’s bold Yellow Bells Dress is by local label Obus. Lightweight cotton in an eye-catching floral print that can be as easily worn during the day to a picnic in the park as it can in the balmy evenings to watch live music at a night market. All things I plan to do this summer!

Riya

Relaxed luxury can be a difficult think to obtain. However, if there is someone who knows how to do it (and well) it’s Megan Park.

I’ve felt so lucky to collaborate with the brand over the past few weeks, and have learnt so much about Megan’s, ethics, inspirations and spirited history (more on that in an upcoming designer profile…so stay tuned).

Cascais

It’s nearly time for holidays to start for a lot of us, and the thought of time off has got me inspired by the promise of travel.

Although I won’t be heading overseas during my summer break, I have definitely been inspired by faraway places when it comes to my fashion.
The more colour, pattern and summer vibes the better.

What I particularly adore about today’s feature designer, Megan Park is that her designs are always inspired by many different cultures, travel, worldly design and craftsmanship in general.
