Julie Goodwin Couture – White Label

Last year I was delighted to be invited to take part in the launch campaign for Julie Goodwin Couture, White Label alongside some other amazing and inspiring women.

To say I am a fan of Julie Goodwin and her incredible work would be a monumental understatement.  A dedicated, talented and inspiring designer and couturier, Julie makes bespoke women’s garments in her Albert Park Studio.

And although her business (which turns 25 this year) usually finds Julie custom tailoring, designing and making made to measure one off pieces, the launch of White Label is an exciting little taste of Julie Goodwin Couture at a more accessible price.

Making a shirt or blouse in the traditional bespoke manner is incredibly time consuming and costly (we’re talking about around $1,000 for a shirt) but Julie found that her clients were still asking for them. And so White Label was born as a more affordable alternative. And at almost half the price, each shirt is still custom made specially for each client.

A demi-couture model, Julie has developed some of her designs into easily adjustable patterns, that can be tweaked to each client’s measurements. Because every body is different, yet small adjustments can significantly change a garment to fit in just the perfect way.

Wether you choose a soft tunic or fitted silhouette, Julie’s five staple styles are available in four fabrics (pure linen, cotton, silk, and triacetate satin), and made to fit every shape and size. There’re even options to customise cuffs, necklines, and hem shapes so you can get the perfect piece to suit your needs and lifestyle.

A Julie Goodwin White Label shirt is a timeless wardrobe staple; understated, elegant and versatile like no other item.
