Souza

I’ve been busting to post this dress on Lilt Blog for months now. I purchased it last year, before Jeanie was even born and it has been patiently sitting in my wardrobe waiting to be worn for a special occasion.

Lockdowns really got in the way of wearing this show stopping garment out and about, but luckily, Lei Lei and I got a chance to shoot it prior to the most recent bouts of lockdowns. So here it is today, in all its glory the Souza dress by Ulo.

On this particular day, the winter chill made itself known, so I decided to team the Souza dress with a turtleneck, tights and boots to show that cotton dresses can indeed be worn all year round. However I really can’t wait to let this baby shine in the summer months, worn simply belted, whilst enjoying an Aperol Spritz. Or perhaps unbuttoned over a T-shirt and jeans for a bbq once we can meet with family and friends again.

I have big plans for this dress… and I think that’s understandable. The beautiful ‘pink river’ print sourced out of Ghana, features beautiful tones of hot pink, mauve, purple and ink, swirling together to create a beautiful batik like effect that just makes you want to celebrate. The exaggerated puff sleeves also add a bit of drama, and that’s always a big tick in my book.

Designed and made in Melbourne, this gorgeous limited edition dress (and many more) are available for Pre-order from Ulo.
