In Love with Spring Separates

Once upon a time I was strictly a ‘dresses only’ gal. Purely out of ease really, as it is so simple to throw on just one piece of clothing  in the morning.  However as I become more adventurous with colour and pattern in my wardrobe I also become aware that I require pieces that are versatile and can be mixed and matched easily.  The most efficient way to do this is ofcourse with separates.

Today’s outfit merges two of my go to Melbourne fashion labels.

The 40’s inspired ‘Vera Lynn Top’ by Leonard St is an elegant, feminine and flattering cut that sits comfortably over skirts, pants, & more casually with jeans. I especially love the print and unique colour palette of pale blue,  lilac, tan and ox blood which is lightly colourful for spring & summer. The best thing about this print is you can pick out any colour from the design and then accessorise with a complimentary shade as desired!

Today I have teamed this top with the beautiful ‘Outlier Skirt’ by Obus. An a-line silhouette skirt made form a luxe linen/viscose blend fabric which is extra versatile as it can be worn both casually & dressed up for special occasions.

The finishing touches ofcourse are the accessories… my new beautiful one of a kind clutch is by Tiff Manuel  who  has the most incredible array of printed clutches, jewellery by Aacute & Hi Middle Child, and shoes by Witchery.

Newly inspired by separates, I’d Love to know… where are your favourite places to find tops, skirts, pants and the like?
