A Statement Jacquard Jacket -

There’s a kind of style super power that comes with wearing an epic statement jacket and it is very simply obtained the moment you pop it on.

You can, in theory, start with a very no nonsense neutral outfit (in this case black and navy), ‘just add statement jacket’ and boom… instant elevated style.

The first time I laid eyes on this KHÒLÒ Eden coat on Instagram, I felt a huge desire to wear and style it immediately. Fast forward a few weeks, and the very generous and beautiful Karishma Kasabia, designer of KHÒLÒ, kindly gifted it to me after we collaborated on a series of casual and playful styling videos in her lovely home.

There’s so much to love about this jacket. The jacquard fabric is truly exquisite, not only due to the pretty floral textile design but also because of its bright cobalt and yellow colour combination that comfortably sits on a black background to make the piece both a bold statement, and yet slightly pared back.

Today I have popped this incredible piece over some timeless and easy pieces that most of us will own. A classic black top, a good pair of pants (these are my new favourites which I featured and spoke about in this earlier post), and polished the look off with some silver accessories, including these incredibly comfortable FRANKiE4 ‘Beth’ Silver Perf derby shoes and Bidiliia jewellery. It couldn’t be more simple!

My advice… everyone should own a statement jacket or coat that can be quickly ‘thrown on’ for an instant style lift, but be warned… it will bring attention, and many compliments.
