I’ve been really enjoying winter this year, which if you know me at all is a huge statement. I loathe the cold, wind and rain. However a good quality and stylish winter coat definitely helps me get by this time of year.
I’ve also been particularly obsessed with plaids, tartan and checks of late, something which will likely become very apparent on the blog in the upcoming weeks.
As patterns they are timeless, and can be worn with pretty much anything. So the perfect mix of a plaid and a warm winter coat was too hard to resist…
This comfy and cozy, wool/poly blend trench is from trusty local labels bul and it is the perfect fit and length to keep me covered up and super warm. Today I have teamed it up with a lambs wool jumper (also from bul), and the comfiest pants I have ever owned from another local fave Kuwaii.
It is an understatement to say that I hardly ever wear pants. I usually find it really difficult to find styles and shapes that actually fit properly and are both flattering and comfortable. But I can definitely vouch for these babies as they are all of the above and seem to look great on women of all shapes and sizes. So if you’re looking to invest in a good quality pair these could definitely be it!
On a finishing note, I’ve set myself a style goal for the second half of the year (holy sh*t can you believe it’s July?). My goal is to pay more attention to styling with accessories and to experiment more with pattern and colour. So on that note I’ve finished off today’s look with some organic gold hoop earrings by Arms of Eve, patent leather derby brogues by the always amazing FRANKiE4 and mini bag by Avalina Leather for a trendy pop of colour (apparently mini bags are all the rage at the moment).
