Aacute – Bloom Collection

One of my favourite Melbourne jewellery brands Aacute, is at it again with a brand spanking new collection of design focused jewellery.  As always the new Bloom collection delivers unique shapes and creative colour combinations and finishes that are playful and stylish.

I’ve been lucky enough to get my hands on a few pairs and can’t wait to share them in my style posts over the next few weeks, so stay tuned.

Read on below for my super quick-fire interview with designer Julie Tran, as we discuss the new collection and the very best way to wear the new styles.

Can you tell us a little bit about the new Bloom collection and the inspiration behind it?

I have gone back to school to up-skill (Graphic Design!) and have fallen in love with design all over again. I had been in a design block for a while trying to come up with more complicated or unique designs. However, I have retrained my eye to appreciate that simple is best and have been inspired by simple floral shapes, textures and patterns while keeping some best-selling shapes from past collections. Colour complementing is one of my fortes and I’m glad the collection has narrowed down from 20+ potential colour ways down to 14 designs. I have titled the range Bloom as I feel like it’s Aacute’s best collection yet and my design sensibilities have bloomed in the last 12 months.

How would you best style some of the key pieces in the Bloom collection?

The small Floret Earrings are for the everyday, they are light and simple and good for small faces like mine or if you are donning a scarf throughout winter. The Flower Art style has been really popular with two colour ways since being released in 2017, so there are now more colour ways (Daisy Sky and Merlot Mix are my favourites!) that are a bit dressier for the weekends. Perhaps a simple white puffy sleeve blouse for a wedding is what I’d absolutely pair them up with! As for the Floret Double Drops I have been wearing them with my hair tied up with a simple high neck top – I’m really happy with their wearability.

Where can we shop for these gorgeous new designs?
