Lilt Loves – January & February 2018

Today I am very happy to be back on board and share my very first Lilt Loves post for 2018.

I’m getting back into the swing of things and excited to share with you all, some of the things that I’ve been loving over the past few months as well as what I’m looking forward to in March.

Read on below for a look into an innovative and creative local accessories brand, some exciting upcoming events, a cheese eating, wine drinking, painting session, and some beauty thrown in for good measure.

Reticule -I was recently in touch with the team at reticule, a unique multi-disciplinary design business that pairs fine art and fashion.

I love the concept of their brand and products. To collaborate with contemporary female artists and create fashion accessories and products that are not only one of a kind, but also support local creatives.

I’m already smitten with my new reticule clutch and can’t wait to take it out for a spin at VAMFF this week.

I’m also looking forward to seeing the future or reticule and their ongoing collaborations – watch this space!

Triennial – If you haven’t yet visited the FREE ‘Triennial’ exhibition at NGV, get yourself there quick smart!

The exhibition features the work of over 100 artist and designers from all over the world, including architecture, animation performance, painting, drawing, fashion, textiles and sculpture.

An amazing celebration of contemporary design that you can view throughout all 4 levels of the NGV gallery.

Mecca Cosmetica Fresh Faced Hydrating Hydrogel Sheet Mask –  Anyone who follows me on Instagram knows I love a good face mask. I love trying lots of different hydrating masks, but over the past few months I’ve been really digging this one. I usually pop it on once a week and it does exactly as the name suggests, keeps my skin feeling fresh, hydrated and super smooth. You can buy them individually or in a pack of 4 for $45.

Cork & Chroma – I recently visited Cork and Chroma with the ever wonderful Claire Goldsworthy of The Fashion Advocate, and we had such a fabulous night painting away, nibbling on cheese and sipping on wine.

The concept of Cork & Chroma is really neat! Bring your own favourite bottle of wine, and Cork and Chroma provide everything else that you need for a fun painting session including a canvas, brushes and paint. An artist will then take you through the painting process step by step, so even if you’ve never painted before you’re bound to have a great time and a piece of art to take home with you at the end of the night. Avery fun night out indeed.

Melbourne Design Week – I’ll keep this brief because there is a lot to cover. But from the 15th-25th of March Melbourne will host is second ‘design week’.

There will be over 160 exhibitions, workshops, talks and tours across Melbourne and Victoria, celebrating design and promoting Melbourne as one of the design capitals of the world. Check out the MDW website to get yourself involved in all of the exciting events to come.

Hope you liked this months Lilt Loves post. Id love to know in the comments below, What you’re looking forward to this month?
