When people ask me who my fashion inspirations or icons are, the very first person who pops into my mind is always Yasmin Sewell. If you follow at least one streetstyle blog, you are bound to have seen her…lots. She always looks so unbelievably cool, unique, effortlessly stylish, never overdone. And in what can sometimes seem like a very cookie-cutter fashion world, she really has her own voice.
But I admire Yasmin not only for her inspiring sense of style, but also for her passion and business savvy in the world of fashion.
Originally from Australia, Yasmin moved to the UK and opened one of the most popular boutiques in London at the age of 22. She has helped to launch the careers of now famous designers such as Rick Owens and Christopher Kane, and has worked as buyer and consultant for Liberty London, and Browns boutiques.
Yasmin now runs her own Fashion Consultancy company and through this also provides, mentoring for up-and-coming young designers. In 2012 she was the recipient of Young Australian of the Year Award for her contribution in the fashion Industry.
This is one clever, passionate, incredibly stylish and inspirational lady. Not to mention it is so refreshing to always see a big smile in her photos (which is so rare amongst the fashion set)
