A Kimono Jumpsuit for Curves -

Being a ‘curvy’ gal there are some items of clothing that I sometimes struggle to wear.

High neck dresses, low rise pants and crop tops are on my personal ‘no-go’ list, however it is the elusive jumpsuit that I’ve always coveted but have never been able to style to my liking. That is until now…

Without beating around the bush, I am South American. I have a booty, ample boobs and a tummy. I have plenty of curves and bumps teamed with skinny legs and arms, so although I absolutely love the look of jumpsuits, they don’t always love my body type.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen many beautiful curvy ladies rock a mean jumpsuit (like Jo from Icurvy, Stacey McGregor & Katie Parrott), however whenever I’ve given them a go in the past I’ve never felt 100% comfortable, and to me, style needs to include comfort and confidence, not just aesthetics.

For this exact reason I was a little sceptical when Danielle Atkinson of Milk & Thistle recommended I give her Kimono Jumpsuit a go for a recent photoshoot. Not one to question her expertise I tried it on willing to practice what I preach – always try clothing on! You might be presently surprised, and that I was.

The silhouette of this jumpsuit is seriously genius, flattering for both slender and curvy bodies alike. The rich petrol green, 100% linen fabric feels amazing and is such a great choice for a good transeasonal piece, especially as we move into spring.
However, what I love the most about this garment is the attention to detail that has been put into the shape, including a flattering v-neck balanced by modest sleeves and wide coulotte style pants, darts to add room and create shape, all tied up with signature Milk & Thistle tortoise shell buckle…. Oh…IT ALSO HAS POCKETS!

I genuinely never thought I would find a jumpsuit that I would not only love this much but also feel comfortable and confident in.
