Christmas Gift Guide – Kids

Christmas Gift Guide - Kids
Hello Friends! I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend.  I’ve been a little slack with posts this last week as I have been very busy with work.
I am so surprised at the fact that it is December the 1st today!!! Can you believe it?  Another year has nearly passed and I have a lot of Christmas shopping to get done..  I thought it might be a good idea to do a few posts on gift guides for those of you who are also about to start shopping for all your holiday gifts.  I have to say, I am a very lucky girl to have very kind, talented and stylish friends who always share their ideas and inspirations with me.  For the next few days I will be posting some gift guides that have been put together with the help of said friends.
Some of these gifts suggestions I have come across myself, some I have found on the internet but a lot of them were suggestions from friends who took the time to put a list together to help me with the posts for the blog.  So THANK YOU TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED!
You can also find plenty more suggestions on my pinterest board here.
For todays post I would like to thank Yianni, Emily, J-F & Meaghan for their gift suggestions 🙂

Trend Spotting – Blue & Green

Whoever said “blue and green should not be seen without a colour in-between” was very VERY wrong.  As a kid one of my favourite wooly jumpers was a mohair blue and green little number.  I knew I was onto something 😉

Style Milk

Model/Styling: Ally Carey Photography: Jonathan Hayward Clothing : Style Milk

I have been following the blog Daydream Lily, for a while now.  Liss has such a wonderfully fresh style. Her post which range from fashion, to interiors, art and illustration are always colourful and lively.  I was reading up on her newest post and what I hadn’t realised earlier, was that she also runs an online concept store, Style Milk , with her business partner and fellow blogger Jen.

The store has a great selection of Australian designers, and not only do they stock female fashion but also accessories and the most adorable kids and baby clothes.
I personally have my eye on this Meadowlark Cat’s Ears Ring. How cute is that?

The images above are a selection from their first ever, Style Milk look-book featuring all Australian designers, Talulah, Maurie & Eve, Lilya, We Are Handsome and Secret South.

Hope you love the images as much as I do. The warm colours and the hazy, shallow depth of field just evoke balmy summer days to me. (I can hear my sister laughing as she reads that last sentence – but it’s true!!!)

Hope you’re all having a great week – xo Luciana

Trend Spotting – Denim Clash

Good morning friends!  It’s another Trend-spotting Tuesday 😛

Lately,  I’ve been seeing a lot of little denim numbers with contrast panels and a mixture of either different coloured denims or other materials altogether.  And it’s not just the gals doing it. The dudes are doing it too…

Jeans – Which is the best staple style?

Jeans

What style of jeans is best? Silly question… I know!!! One must have an assortment in styles of denim. But nowadays there are so many styles to chose from….  low/mid/high rise, straight leg, skinny, boyfriend, distressed, colour, patterned, flared (yuck, yes i know they’re “in fashion” …supposedly).  Any who… it got me thinking… which are the styles that are most versatile? which styles are necessary staples?  and which are just horrible fads?

The reason I care so much about this question is that I am currently at work with a massive rip in my jeans (and not in a cute, “distressed denim” way), so I am on the hunt for some new jean-staples… here’s a little selection from shopbop that I have put together. Nothing revolutionary, but a simple visual list on what I consider to be the staples in the denim department.

Whats your favourite style of Jeans? What style would you never wear?
