As a woman going through pregnancy, your body goes through an incredible transformation. The changes can be challenging or empowering, but definitely fascinating. One thing is for sure, there are big changes, and nothing really stays the same as ‘before’… it’s not really meant to.

During my pregnancies and journey into motherhood I’ve had to re-assess my style choices. Mostly for practicality and comfort, but also because my body has changed so much from month to month, year to year.

An Interview with Physio Laura of The Pregnancy Posse

Laura Callea, aka Physio Laura, is a pelvic floor physiotherapist and Founder of the online fitness platform ‘The Pregnancy Posse’.

I came across her amazing online course during my first pregnancy, when due to Covid, I was looking for targeted pregnancy safe exercises I could do in the comfort of my own home. When researching possible resources ‘The Pregancy Posse’ kept being recommended by many other women who had enjoyed her services, and with good reason.

Becoming a mother definitely changes you. There’s no doubt about it. Regardless of your, lifestyle, career or parenting style there are things that just evolve from your pre-child life.

One of the most interesting changes that I have witnessed in myself is the relationship with my body. I have been lucky that my pregnancies and motherhood have taught me to be kinder and more appreciative of a body that has achieved incredible things (regardless of birthing or not, the human body is incredible, full stop.)

Valter

Elk really know how to make a statement print with class, and a silhouette that flatters in all the right places, even when 34 weeks pregnant! When I first tried on the Valter dress I knew it would quickly become one of my favourite go-to pieces.

An Interview with Sophie Walker of Australian Birth Stories

When I first found out I was pregnant with Jeanie, I remember a friend suggesting to me that I listen to the Australian Birth Stories Podcast if I wanted to learn more about birth itself.

She wasn’t the only person to suggest this to me in the early days. The same suggestion was given to me by my midwife, doula, work colleague, and family friends…and with good reason.

Having interviewed over 300 women and with over 8 million downloads the Australian Birth Stories podcast is a clear favourite amongst parents and birth professionals alike.

Pregnancy, Birth & Motherhood

As I get closer to my estimated due date for baby number two, I cannot help but get absolutely immersed in all things pregnancy, birth & motherhood.

Becoming a mother the first time round to our beautiful Jeanie, was such a challenging, amazing and transformative experience.
