Writing today’s post brings me so much happiness I think I might burst!

Born Thursday night (12/11/2020 @ 8:24pm). Grange and I welcomed our precious little daughter, Jeanie Ava Wallis into our world. Named after Grange’s Nana Jean, she has thick dark hair, weighs in at 3.3kg and is 52cm tall. We’re so happy and absolutely in love. ❤️

10 Amazing Things That Got Me Through Pregnancy

Pregnancy in 2020 has definitely proven to be an interesting ride. I found out I was expecting in March, just around the time that Covid restrictions began to be put in place. Without a doubt, this had great impacts on my experience with pregnancy, and encouraged me to read, research, and reach out to people around me, in the hopes that I would be better equipped for the journey.

I can honestly say that I have tried my hardest to find some amazing resources and products that made me feel more connected to my pregnancy and body, and made the experience empowering and enjoyable.

The lifted restrictions in Melbourne meant I was able to catch up with Lei Lei last week and take some photos of some fun and lovely outfits before baby drops by to say hello. I cannot tell you how much fun it was to actually catch up and get to create some images for the local brands I love to work with.

Today I’m featuring this gorgeous dress by Australian label Adrift**.

5 Of My Favourite ‘Ethical Clothing Australia’ Accredited Fashion Brands

In celebration of 20 years in business, Ethical Clothing Australia has launched ‘Ethical Clothing Australia Week’. This is the first and only Australian week-long event focussed on locally-made, ethically-manufactured clothing, textiles and footwear and will run from 18-24 October.

It will be a chance to help educate consumers to make informed ethical choices, and celebrate and promote local businesses, designers, and importantly the skilled workers behind the garments made in Australia.

Last weekend my family and friends celebrated baby ‘peanut’ by throwing me a virtual baby shower. I knew that given the current lock down situation in Melbourne I wanted to feel good for the event, and so I wanted to make sure I looked the part in a new special celebratory dress, even if it meant most of my online guests could only see my face and shoulders 😉

I decided to slip on this gorgeous Little Tienda dress and I instantly felt absolutely amazing!

Meg Kolac – Hugs

Meg Kolac’s Hugs exhibition is a collection of artworks embracing the nostalgia of holding our loved ones close. Launched during the Covid-19 pandemic and inspired by the very long lockdown in Melbourne, this exhibition reveals the contrast between the desperate hope of being able to hug someone we love, against the melancholy of that day being pushed further and further away.
