Chunky Bright Knit

Nothing brightens up a cold winter’s day like a pop of colour. It can be cold, windy, rainy and bleak outside, but if I am wearing colour I instantly feel more energised and alive.

I also really struggle to get out of bed during the winter months, so throwing on a cozy, chunky knit also makes the mornings a lot easier to deal with. That’s why today’s beautiful and chunky knit by Obus is currently on high rotation.

Simply, I adore the bright magenta colour, the wool/polyamide fibre mix, and the oversized shape. This jumper is seriously cool and it feels like a warm hug all day long.

I know I’ve been ‘going on’ about my ‘curves’ recently, but it is true that it is sometimes more challenging to fit into certain types of clothing – chunky knitted jumpers being one of them. They can often look boxy and unflattering, but what is great about the Obus Other Half Pullover is the shapes in its design. The balloon sleeves and generous cowl neckline really balance out the ‘chunky-ness’ of the jumper which means I can wear an ‘oversized’ style without looking bulky myself. Yes please!

Today I have teamed this chunky knit with my Kuwaii classic tailored pants (the best pair I’ve ever owned), my new FRANKiE4 Gabbie derby brogues and some beautiful Bidiliia jewellery (earrings & ring). But most importantly how amazing is my new pink Avalina Leather shoulder bag. It’s almost as it was specially made to match this warm and cozy winter outfit don’t you think?

Also if you’re nervous to wear such a bright colour don’t forget that you can always tone it down by adding a neutral coat into the mix, like the timeless and super soft ‘Beyond my Knowing’ coat, also by Obus.

If you’re looking for a super chic, super cozy knit head to Obus quick smart as it’s currently on SALE! (Also available in blue)
