Today I am sharing my Lilt Loves picks for June and July!
Strager Things – Seriously, go to Netflix right now and watch this. But not if you have an important deadline because you will probably binge watch the first 4 episodes (if you haven’t already) This show is a throwback to all the 80’s adventure movies you watched as a kid, think E.T meets the Goonies. But scary. But awesome.
I will let google explain… “This thrilling Netflix-original drama stars award-winning actress Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, who lives in a small Indiana town in 1983 — inspired by a time when tales of science fiction captivated audiences. When Joyce’s 12-year-old son, Will, goes missing, she launches a terrifying investigation into his disappearance with local authorities. As they search for answers, they unravel a series of extraordinary mysteries involving secret government experiments, unnerving supernatural forces, and a very unusual little girl”
Man Repeller: Seeking Love. Finding Overalls – I’m late to the (arm) party but I only recently finished reading this book. One of the most prolific fashion bloggers in the world, Leandra Medine takes you on a journey of her most significant memories in chapters dedicated to items of clothing she has worn at certain times in her life. Anyone who reads Man Repeller will know Leandra’s hilarious writing style. This book had me in absolute stitches. From stories about the night she lost her virginity to a fateful date with her grandmother’s ostrich Hermes clutch bag. It’s the perfect read for anyone who loves fashion but doesn’t take it too seriously. Super entertaining. You can buy it here
Chloe Morello’s Youtube Channel – If you love make up you will love this channel. Chloe is a Youtube superstar and does really fun and educational make up tutorials. She is also super beautiful (yes she does look like Blair Waldorf), obviously really good at applying make up and seriously freaking hilarious. I have been binge watching her tutorials all week. You can check out her channel here (image via chloemorello.com)
Rosies recaps of The Bachelor – I’m not usually one to watch reality TV (really I’m being honest), but I have totally been sucked in to watching The Bachelor, even though it is utter rubbish (the concept itself really bothers me ), so I can read Rosie’s Recaps and have a phenomenal belly laugh at the shit this woman writes! It so good! You can read Rosie’s Recaps of The Bachelor over on the Mama Mia Website
I’d love to know what kind of things would you like to see on Lilt Loves next month?
Until then… x Luciana
