Top 5 Beauty Buys Under $20

TOP 5 BEAUTY BUYS UNDER $20

Beauty products and skin care don’t have to be expensive.

Although I do like to splurge on some luxury beauty products now and then, some of my day to day favourites, are items that you can get from your local chemist for under $20.

When I buy products for me it’s all about the full experience, the scent, texture and ofcourse the result.

Here are my top 5 beauty buys under $20.

Sukin Hydrating Facial Mask

Every winter my skin becomes extremely sensitive and dry. It happens every year without fail and it takes me time to figure out what products to use to get the perfect moisture injection, without breaking out.  This year I’ve been using Sukin’s Hydrating Facial Mask once week after a relaxing mid-week bath and it’s been doing my skin wonders. It smells wonderful, the texture is silky smooth and you just pop it on for 15 minutes on damp skin and then simply wipe off with a washcloth.  Really hydrating and a total steal at only $15.95

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

When it comes to taking off my make up at night, I can be a bit lazy. It’s a terrible habit that I’m always trying to get out off and Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water makes it super duper easy to do the right thing. It’s the perfect lazy girl make up remover. Just pop some on a cotton pad and wipe off make up, dirt and grime in one shot, no need to rinse. And unlike make-up remover wipes it’s super sensitive on skin so you can use it daily. It’s also very affordable. Only $13.95

Aesop Rosehip Seed Lip Cream

This one is a little bit of luxury without breaking the bank and again perfect for the winter months when people can suffer from dry lips. It’s non greasy and vitamin rich and you don’t need much of it as it has quite a thick viscosity. I like to pop it on every night and let the product work while I sleep. It’ll set you back $15.00 which is pennies for Aesop.

RosehipPLUS Rosehip Oil

Rosehip oil is something my wedding make up artist recommended in the lead up to my big day and I’ve been using it ever since. It’s incredibly moisture rich and I use it in a number of ways. If I have areas which are particularly dry I like to massage the oil straight onto the skin, otherwise I sometimes mix it in with my moisturiser to give it a bit  of a hydration boost. You can even use it to remove your makeup if you prefer an oil cleanser. There are many other expensive beauty oils out on the market but I find your humble rosehip oil does the job at a fraction of the price, $19.95

Trilogy Everything Balm

I bought Trilogy’s Everything Balm whilst only NZ  holiday last year, as it is a New Zealand cult beauty product. And I may be scorned for saying this but it has totally replaced my need for Paw Paw ointment. Trilogy Everything Balm is a lifesaver it can be used as a  body balm, lip balm, hand balm, cleansing balm if you get caught short, nappy balm even.  I mostly use it on my lips during the day and also as a cuticle moisturiser. It feels like a never ending pot too! $15.69
